Calicofrost - nice soft psybient

Infinite Brothers - some chill guitar psybient

Sapien - excellent psychedelic bass/midtempo/psychill, check the last track out "Duro Cabo", a seriously tight groove in that one.

I really enjoyed the Zaatari soundtrack. Lovely orchestral flow and it reminded me a bit of the Ink soundtrack. It gets my vote.

Apart from Calicofrost which I agree with timeisart on the soft psybient remark, I'm sorry to say this batch of releases is just lacking something.

Pax,

Lorn

Lorn, I agree this was a pretty slow week, but at least next week (Feb 29 - March 6) is already shaping up to be fantastic with releases from Bluetech, Living Light, Easily Embarrassed, among others.

I always want to support the artists but honesty is needed as well.

Yeah, slow week, I'm afraid.  Well, not afraid.  It just was.

Except for Stratus - The Driver from Loci Records (Emancipator's label).

I really like it, and it is definitely the highlight of my week.

(I actually missed it in the list the first time, and added a link here, but then went back a saw it, so have removed the link and edited this post for the 5th time....)

Mister Chill'R

how many 70+ year old psybient artists do you know? besides Mister Chill'R and Raja Ram of Shpongle, I can't think of any. I hope to still keep the psychedelic spirit alive at that age.

we forgot a va from microcosmos records but we will add it next week

If you're talking about Noraus - Type 1 Civilization, that was released on February 29th and will be included in next week's poll (February 29-March 6).

Loci Records (Emancipator's label).

I include these just for you schofield :)

I like Emancipator and his label, but often times it's more trip hop or strictly downtempo and not fully psybient, but I'm not that nitpicky about genres.

Thanks Timeisart.   :)   Yeah, not strictly psydub, but still chill and damn fine music.
