Taktyle 1 Report post Posted March 16, 2015 After hard work, my debut album is finally finished! It is free to download at http://taktyle.bandcamp.com but..... I decided to not ask money for it for myself, but to donate it all to charity. For you to be sure that the money is spent well, I'm not going to collect the money myself, but I let you choose how much and to which charity fund you'll donate to and let you donate it yourself. This way you are absolutely sure that the money you donate will come to the right places that you think it is the most needed. If you have nothing, just download the album for free. If you have something to spend, please think about all the refugees, hunger, destruction of nature and other troubles all around the globe. If you can't think of nothing, I have a couple of ideas listed for you of which I know they do a good job: - Artsen zonder grenzen: https://www.artsenzondergrenzen.nl- Rode Kruis: http://rodekruis.nl- Unicef: http://www.unicef.org- WWF (World Wide Fund): http://wwf.org Again, it is free to download, but every cent that you decide to donate would make me and the world very happy. Enjoy

floyd2.0 113 Report post Posted March 17, 2015 first word that is popping into my mind when listening: pretty melancholic (ok that's 2 words ) any chance you are influenced by Easily Embarresed? (also dutch producers)
Taktyle 1 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 Haha, you're right floyd 2.0. I've been an Easily Embarrassed fan since a long time . Especially since their album 'Idyllic life'.
floyd2.0 113 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 yes, that's a great album, love it as well! Personally i think it's a very bold step to mix melacholy with psychedlic chill music, i don't know many producers that do it.
Taktyle 1 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 You're right. the most is hardly chill music (with some exceptions), but the musical emotion of it reaches me so deep. I think that's the reason that that kind of music 'comes out of me'. B.t.w. if you like this kind of music you definitely should listen to Argaman (if you didn't already know it yet ). His music touches me so so deeply, even after listening it 100 times. No other music have meant so much to me ever as his. 1 Gagarin Project reacted to this
floyd2.0 113 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 the emotion 'melancholy' is very dear to me, i love the feeling of it but i find the combo very ambivalent, sometimes i find it hard to match it with psycheldelic music/vibe, you feel me? if i want pure melancholy i look for other artist (einsturzende neubauten, nick cave etc) if i want psychedlic i mostly try to avoid melacholy. it's only in some rare cases i find the combi right on, especially with easely embarrassed... gonna check out argaman's music out for sure, i know the name, but not the music
Taktyle 1 Report post Posted March 18, 2015 Yeah, I can image you have that feeling, because normally psychedelic music has some sort of 'feelgood flow' (don't know how to describe it better...). Melancholic music doesn't have that and has some 'serious' feeling (In dutch I would call it 'ernstig' ). When I speak for myself I really like that 'serious feeling', because it is so full of emotion. Therefore, I like 'normal' psychedelic music in combination with classical/movie, because it can give those emotions I love so much. But then again, emotions are subject to individuals Currently listening to einsturzende neubauten, I had never heard of it. Not bad at all! Speaking for Nick Cave material, murder ballads is my all time favorite.

If not check'm out soon, major melancholy is gonna hit you right in the face maybe i could start a new topic dedicated to emotions and music!
