  1. I love dark themes so my choice would be one of the dark ones....Brave or Carbon
  2. Not a big "big beat" fan, apart from Prodigy, and a couple of tracks from Chemical Brothers, Asian Dub Foundation, Crystal Method & Fatboy Slim...
  3. That new KoRn single https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nq9j1qkj2Vc
  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2_yQnpc8ff8 What a great album
  5. I sleep at around 7h a day, when i can sleep, i usually have a difficult time to sleep, and i never go to bed before midnight...and i'm not a morning person at all, hate waking up too early, and to be honest i'm only at my best at around 10.30 11h...used to work during the afternoon/night some years back and it felt better than working from 9 to 5pm...but well....
  6. Who would've thought i would say that about Shpongle I agree, older people always claim that "back in the day" music was better, i guess every generation says that...and yes i bet 99% of the younger generation will say the genre has been getting better while the older generarton will say the opposite, but like you said it's probably all about perspective...to each their own
  7. Looks like it's official!! Rage Against The Machine, Public Enemy & Cypress Hill Members Unite In Prophets Of Rage Prophets Of Rage have officially been unveiled. The new outfit features Rage Against The Machine members Tom Morello, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk paired with Chuck D & DJ Lord of Public Enemy and B-Real of Cypress Hill. The collective will be performing beefed up versions of material from Rage Against The Machine, Public Enemy and Cypress Hill, and also will have been working on their own original material."
  8. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_ZhHZ4c6SCw Still the best psybient album ever made, in my book
  9. I don't know if it's getting worse, but i see my self listening to older releases rather than new...alot of it sounds familiar to me, i'm listening and it's like i heard this before, there's hardly any new releases out there with that "wow" factor...was listening to the Shpongles first album yesterday(which to me is the best psybient album ever made) and is stills sounds fresh to me, better than 99% of whats out there nowadays...maybe i'm just getting old lol
  10. I was going to post Shpongle as well lol don't forget "Beija Flor", that later turn into the first 3 tracks off "Nothing Lasts...But Nothing is Lost" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sbXuKvBiY94
  11. Lol, metal is a great genre, specially for people like me or older that were born in the 80s, we had so many great rock/metal bands growing up that it's hard not be a fan of the genre, i honestly don't listen to many "new" metal bands, they all sound pretty much the same to me, i get bored easily...
  12. One of my favourite releases from this year, was the new Deftones album https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eOFNi7reU1k https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xSycaeY7qi4
  13. Saw this the other day, a new supergroup by the looks of it, Tom Morello, Tim Commerford, Brad Wilk, Chuck D, & B-Real, i would definitely check this out That reminded of this for some reason, even in an acoustic guitar this song sounds heavy  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mtL7nO4NNHY Still a metal fan till this day, even though i don't listen to it as much as i did, i still follow some bands, it depends on my mood really...Metallica was the band that got me into metal, still love them till this day, saw them live 5 times, Marilyn Manson was one of my main bands back in the day as well, all i did was wear Manson shirts during a time in my life lol still listen to it, his latest album was amazing by the way. Other bands i still listen to, Deftones, System of a Down, Marilyn Manson, Machine Head, Rammstein, Soulfly(old albums), KoRn, Slipknot, Stone Sour, Rage Against the Machine.....
  14. It's only part of a track, it sounds great though, can't wait to listen to the whole thing...yeah i know it's been 10 years since their last album, but from what some members have been saying and some footage they shared looks like this time around they're definitely working on it. You're probably right, it's probably like you said some of them have a rock music background, i just find it curious that even though it's two completely different genres i find their fans somewhat similar in a way. I consider Tool the modern Pink Floyd, both musically ahead of 99.9% of the other bands out there
  15. I agree, Lateralus is on my top 5 albums of all time, i love everything about this band...saw them live twice as well, one during the Lateralus tour and one on the 10,000 tour, and both times i was blown away by it, their whole performance is top notch, they're all great musicians and Maynard is one of the greatest frontman off time, that guy is just hypnotic on stage...they're working on a new album, that will probably be released by the end of this year or early next(hopefully) they have been jamming this new "track" live latelly, and it has a "lateralus" feel to it...i have high hopes for this album. 16. One of my favourite bands is Tool and i find it curious that alot of "psybient" "psytrance" fans also like this band, i wonder why that is...is it because of the "spiritual" or philosophical side of the band, the art?! Any fans here?
  17. I'm a huge Doors fan, what's your favourite album?
  18. A thread do discuss other genres and music, discuss other bands, share what you listening to and such....so we don't keep derailing the "What are you listening now?" thread @yannis was never lucky enough to see them live, but i agree that they're way past their prime, even though Tony is still a kickass guitar player, and Ozzy is always fun to watch, he's quite a character
  19. Didn't know you liked Black Sabbath pretty good album, but nothing beats "Paranoid" we should have a "General Music" thread to be honest
