I don't think that the drums in "H*Pi" is too pop-rockish, makes it very organic in a good way.

Kilowatts makes some stunning groovy music, but in 2009 he indulged into some soothing ambience for Somnia Records. Great album!

This isn't specifically for this topic but I suggest checking out these plugins.

They are all free and probably some of the highest quality plugins available. I was happily pointed to them by Grains of Sound who use them for their productions.
