  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HSwbd2brsY yep, it works
  2. this might be useful for Apple users: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ouoavu55xdw&app=desktop it's also easy to send usb midi comunicates to ipad for fully control in DAW
  3. I really don't know why I forgot to put Soundscaper at the list in the first post. Igor Vasiliev posted preview from the 1.8 version wich looks pretty cool:
  4. it's for live mixing of different application, i didn't test it but it looks very creative. edit: it's damn expencive, 18,99 euro. so maybe some day...
  5. so iDensity and Fieldscaper. you can use prerecorded samples or record them live via phone mic. I like Fieldscaper, but iDensity is better in my opinion.
  6. it depends what you are looking for iDensity, Model 15 and Fieldscaper can work on Iphone. I think you should check Xenon (works both on tablet and phone), you can create full tracks in this app and it's not very expencive (I think 3,99 euro):
  7. it's Electric Sheep, evolving screen saver. more details here: http://www.electricsheep.org/ I always turn it on when I am plying ambient, it creates nice mood in my head.
  8. there is also good guy Igor Vasiliev, developer of two outstanding apps SoundScaper and FieldScaper. both of them can be poweful programs for live playing, something very different than Ableton, something very very creative. take a look:
  9. thats why I am only use it to produce samples and loops, I'd rather prefer to play it live after. But anyway, take a look what somebody invented: https://youtu.be/gA8C9VwgAMk
  10. Anybody into it? Tablets are extremely creative devices in my opinion, there are even people who create whole track on this futuristic things. I am not one of them, I am using mine to create samples, loops, complex pads etc. In my work I also travel really a lot, using laptop on airports is not comfortable thing, ipad is really perfect for that purpose. I am not loosing my time, I can spend it creative And finally my favorites with short description: 1. Sunrizer. It got really nice sounds and brilliant, fully programable arpeggiator for really nice, complex loops. It comes also as a vst, but I don't own computer version. 2. Photophore. Really perfect for organic drones, one of my favourites. 3. Animoog. Expencive, but really awesome sample mashine, can create tons of fx sounds. 4. iDensity. Really nice for creating complex constantly evolving pads. Good to work with the samples produced in other apps + field recordings (but I lost my external Tascam mic for ipad ) 5. Borderlands Granural. Also great granular app, I really like to work with vocal samples to create singing clouds, wich I used in my last live act. 6. Model 15. Original Model 15 costs 10,000 euro this one 30 euro. I know, it's not the same, but it's good intro for "how to connect this bloody cables". It's not easy... 7. Mersenne. I bought it yesterday, looks good, sounds good, it got really nice arps. Future samples coming https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGbO3Hj8wQA Anybody use something? Please, share your experiences
  11. I need some more advanced video editors to layer material, cause raw VOSC is a bit boring
  12. if you need some help with this device, feel free to write. I'm not an expert, but already know couple of things!
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dIvSKDNi3jo
  14. for me it doesn't really matter if it's analog or digital if it produces good sounds. there are analog fetishists, but i am not one of them software ones are very useful, i really enjoy Absynth. hardware ofcourse is good, cause you can touch it and work without computer for me perfect is to combine software, hardware, analog, digital, synth apps for ipad. it's bad to border imagination only because something is not analog or something
  15. I got brilliant app at my ipad, it's calles VOSC. Would be perfect for ambient videos, but I don't know how to record internal screen video on ipad take a look: edit: I just found this: http://www.apptamin.com/blog/capture-iphone-ipad-screen-video/ I'll try and show some result!
  16. it's really nice technique, I can control all the sounds played. no pre-recordings cause that live act is always different. next step for me is to mix loop playing with out-of computer synthesis (Maschine + Mininova). first material will be ready at autum gigs.
  17. I don't know where should I post it, so I will do it here. My live act at the Goadupa Festival in Poland: Performed from 128 live mixed loops, I used only Maschine to play it. Have fun and feel free to comment!
  18. I am using Griffin Survivor: http://www.computershopper.com/slideshow/15-best-rugged-waterproof-cases-for-the-apple-ipad-air/griffin-survivor-for-ipad-air
  19. I rather prefer to sleep at night and work during the day. The best, most creative time for me is in the morning between 8:00-12:00. I usually wake up between 6:20 (normal working days) - 7:30 (day off) and go to sleep 22:00 - 23:00. Too much partying and not sleeping get me out of this routine for few days, I can also notice huge decrease of creativity. I need few days to "get into" again.
