More awesomeness from SIXIS. He retains his astonishing capability for melody within a genre that can often suffer in this area. It's not glitch for the sake of glitch at all, there's such a delicate musicality behind it. You can really hear how much he's been working on every element of his sound in this EP and there is an amazing amount of sonic space in which all these crazy elements are interacting. Beautiful use of a full range of frequencies. Just awesome really!

True Light Of Darkness soundtrack - some absolute gems on here, and the theme provided by James's project makes for a very cohesive 37 minutes of music. I used three of these tracks on the last episode of New Moon Grooves, and the theme of darkness was so strong I just had to use it for the show too. The Halfred and TRIBONE track is particularly wonderfully weird. Lovely stuff.

These are the best small / medium monitor stands I've ever use. Amazing decoupling / isolation. Really do work as advertised.

That Touched Two remix album, 120 tracks for 10£, what the honest hell.

I'll have to agree about that too. A bit less psychedelic but quite blissful and emotional.

A kind of early experimental psydub album I find pretty interesting to listen to from time to time is Dub Trees - Nature Never Did Betray the Heart that Loved Her, an album masterminded by Youth and Greg Hunter with some pretty well-known collaborators, Ott, Posford and Suns of Arqa's Wadada being the most familiar to me.

Another similarly experimental album by some of the same people, but a bit more on the ethnic side is The Kumba Mela Experiment - East of the River Ganges. Both these albums were released by the aforementioned LSD, whose compilations are top-notch.

Also some of Kuba's stuff might be considered a lighter, more subtle form of psydub.

+1 for Slackbaba. I too like ...And the Beat Goes Om... and his early compilation tunes more than his later stuff, but I think his latest album is a step in what I consider the right direction.

You're right Snowdrop. It's such a good EP. I'm digging every track and love the last two.

Maybe I won't be able to wait for bandcamp. Hopefully it appears there real soon, otherwise Addictech it will be be. Heading overseas in a month; this would be great for the headphones!

I've actually been thinking about doing this. I haven't committed to it yet as my time commitments in my life have just ramped up quite a bit so I'm still getting used to how much free time I can expect, but yeah, I hope to start writing reviews for you lovely people at some point I think that would add a lot of value to the site/forum.

    Happy birthday psybient.org!

I'll say it here since that's my only suggestion: It would be more user-friendly if the releases/reviews section were done chronologically I reckon. Also, I'm a review junkie; not to write, I'm not good at that, just to read. So if there were a team of reviewers here, it'd be the first place I'd go to when I want to read about a new release. I know I might be asking too much, especially with the latter, that's why I haven't said anything so far. But since you guys asked...

Apart from that I'm pretty happy with the content and presentation of the site.

Not sure whether I will wait for it to appear on Bandcamp before I buy it tho.

I've liked Emog since I first heard his track "Crow" on VA - Lumineyez Vol. 2 [Luminosity Project]. this new album's sounding just as good.

The Circular release sounded good too. At first I thought it was the Ultimae Records Circular but this is bassy and way different.

Ishq is very special to me, I'm always glad to see new music from Matt. from his newsletters it sounds like there's lots of new tunes in the pipeline too.

Interchill and Mycelium Music comps are worth checking out too.

Thanks Snowdrop for the word on Anchor Hill.  I've been in two minds myself about his music.  I kind of like some tracks but others are not quite my thing.

Anyway, this album is much different to his previous style.  I like the dancier numbers.  I would have bypassed this if you didn't mention it.

My picks for this week were Erothyme's album - sublime and really intelligently crafted - and The Polish Ambassador's remix album - been looking forward to that for a while.  Even though only 5 of the tracks are on there so far (as of today).

it is always possible to vote and then vote again to add more. the only issues is that you have manually remember your "original" vote. So writing a comment about what you have selected is helpful
I usually enjoy Sattyananda releases, will start my listen with it.
