1. Came across this article which might be relevant to you. http://blog.dubspot.com/mobile-music-production-finding-the-perfect-audio-interface/
2. The production is certainly topnotch. It always amazes me the different tastes out there. I can only listen to this kind of wibbly gibbly all over the place stuff for a short time. My head starts to hurt after a while. But yes the samples are hilarious!
3. One Arc Degree's album and Continuum's album are both top notch and should be a part of every worthy listener's collection. Bravo! Surprise of the week for me was the Binar album. Hello, why have I never heard of them before? Some sweet psychedelic sounds.
4. Hopefully some more experienced producers can give you better advice then me. One thing I would urge you to do is pick a track from a producer you especially like and use that track as a template. Mark up the track in your DAW with all the areas of importance, intro, breaks, peaks etc. Attempt to replicate sounds and rhythms. This is best way to practice producing, in my opinion. Pax, Lorn
5. Always enjoyed Hammock. New album.
6. A lot of decent music here. The standouts for me though: 1. Tatsava - Ancient Magic. Some very intense psy sounds. Love it! 2. A Pale Void - Enough. Anguished psy ambient. Good stuff.
7. This is very cool. So many ideas flow from these short videos from FITL
8. This is where compilations should come in. If an artist has extra tracks, offer them to all the VA's out there...that may not bring in dollars for the producer but it certainly supports the genre, in my opinion.
9. I will admit I prefer full albums over ep's. But I have no clue which brings more dollars into producers pockets. I realize our genre has little in the way of money making but perhaps something is changing as spatialize suggests. Take the top two labels...Altar and Ultimae. Altar is strickly albums but Ultimae seems to be going the ep route of late.
10. Hello Xavier. Welcome here and thanks for posting. I really enjoyed the fast arpeggiated sound coming in around 3:09. Good sound. Expand on that. The bass seems a bit listless, no movement, just the same pattern over and over. Work on your background atmospheres, as they will add space and lushness. Keep up the work. I think you can get something useful here. Pax, Lorn
11. Interesting. I'll keep a watch on how you guys develop.
12. Yea the Nibana tune is scrumptious.
13. For me: psychill = 4x4 grooves and the sometimes used term chillgressive. psybient = all other less common groove patterns such as world, ethno, dnb, beatless. But I can easily see how they are used interchangeably.
