What are your favourite Ultimae Records releases?
andorra replied to Gagarin Project's topic in Discussions
I like the Fahrenheit compilations too, they are very good but my top three albums from Ultimae are: Solar Fields - Movements Carbon Based Lifeforms - Interloper VA - Ambrosia -
Have you tried The Hmmmka? I really like it, quite a unique style https://soundcloud.com/hmmka

This is great, thanks for sharing. Sounds good and very well balanced and as Gagarin said it has a good groove, I totally agree.

I've been thinking to read Erich Fromm's 'To Have or to Be?' but for the sake of irony I don't wan't buy it and it's hard to find at library.. But I'll put 'The Art of Listening' to my list too.

Thank you for listening. I'm not much of a producer but I'd really like to develop my skills and find my own style with psytrance production.

Ableton vs Logic vs Fruityloops .... ?
andorra replied to Flying Lotus's topic in Technical: Equipment and Software
I use Renoise and I love it. I used FT2 back in the day and when Reason came out I tried that but soon changed back to trackers. I tried different trackers in early 2000's and when the Renoise was published I purchased that and I'm still rocking with the latest version of it. Trackers rules Not many use those anymore. It seems that Ableton, Cubase and FL are the thing. Luckily Renoise has developed so much to meet today's standards in music production that it's a very powerful DAW and superb sampler tool. -
Thanks for listening and feedback!

Yet another psytrance track I did few days back... Fun to do and learn new tricks https://soundcloud.com/pekkakemppi/phenomenon-the-tale-begins

Thanks for listening and feedback. I'll probably make a new version later of this track.. What I had in mind I'd cut the sub-bass a bit and use less reverb with the melody... And good tip adding some glitches etc. to bring some changes to the track. Thanks!

I went to S.U.N. 2013 and 2014 but this year I'm not sure... We'll see...

Hi guys, here's a track I've made lately. I know it has few problems I didn't pay attention enough before sending the track for mastering... But I hope you guys enjoy. Any constructive feedback is highly appreciated.

I use Traktor Pro 2 software with Traktor Z1 kontroller. It's simple for playing chill-out and handy to travel with. Lately I've been thinking to purchase something else that I could use both with my live set-up and dj gigs. One controller I've been really interested in is Livid Instruments OHM RGB (or OHM64 which is pretty much the same..). Does anyone have any experience with this controller? What I've read it would be almost perfect for my purposes but it's quite expensive so I'm still considering about that...
