  1. Hello psybient friends, Please let me know if you are someone who likes to use open source audio editor or operating system to work on your music. Personally, I like to use the Reaper software on a customized operating system (Arch Linux). In order to make Reaper function on the unix-like operating system, the Wine package is used to run the program and VST plugin. To route the sound output, jack audio is used in combination with wineasio, qjackctl, cadence, ALSA, etc. This allows me to have extremely low latency and full usage of the typical ASIO output including MIDI. By recompiling the Linux kernel using special patch, it is possible to reconfigure the scheduler optimizer for audio purposes (instead of default server configuration). This way, latency can be reduced further for real-time purposes. Now I have switched to this setup for almost a year already, it is the only setup I use now. It works very well and I am very satisfied with the level of audio control I get. Some of the newest VST plugins may not work, but most robust plugins designed in the past work excellently, 64bit or 32bit is your choice. If anyone is considering a setup on alternative OS like GNU-Linux or BSD, I highly recommend to do it! The time has already been ripe! Let me know your thoughts..

  3. The crazy bitch is here. Walking all alone, she's all dressed up and knocking at your door. Better not touch her, she'll burst your bubble. Vital hormones on legs, she is ready to blow your life apart. Unpredictable, independent, dangerous.. spicy-sweet temptation that you need to stay away from. And when she makes herself comfortable, you know you are in trouble. She presses play and you hear this crazy mix from your stereo speakers that sounds demented. A psychedelic blend of some classics remixed, all combined and perfectly suited to make you feel strained. When her final act is all over, you're left standing here alone, changed, reborn. Tracklist: 01. Source Code & Enarxis - Five Spirits (Open Source rmx) 02. Open Source - Planet Blue (final edit) 03. Open Source - High Progressive (short edit) 04. 4. Artist: Open Source Title: Ego Killer Label: Ghost Label records Catalog Number: GLRCD009 Genre: Progressive Psytrance Format: Jewel Case CD & Digital Download (wav/mp3) Release Date: 01 July 2015 Description: Death is not frightening, for it would seem frightening to Socrates if indeed it was. During the short breath of existence that we call life, a man’s instinct provokes him to be loved, and if not loved to be admired, and if not admired to be respected, and if not respected to be feared, and if not feared to be hated. Whitewashed from his bio necessities a man without EGO quietly awaits his ending to fulfill his destiny. EGO KILLER elevates the listener to a new level of awareness and reflects the overwhelming growth in popularity of highly emotional, melodic trance over its 80-minute journey. The unique melodies and abstract instruments combine to create a sentient musical dose of life-and-death bliss and allow you to explore the edges of consciousness. Tracklist: 1.
