I liked the Astral Travel Agency album on a quick listen - I'll admit that the artwork prompted me to listen to it - though it's not 100% downtempo; there are a few trance tunes that are not bad at all imo.

B.M.O.U.S. is some beautiful ambient.

Stimulus Timbre album was also nice.

 

But the surprise of the week goes to Kiruso. Big psychill! Loved it!

Noodreem gets my top vote this week, this is some stellar cosmic dub. Everything he makes is awesome, especially his collaboration with Greg Hunter as Spectralite.

 

A very close second goes to MantisMash - Simplexity EP, I love his style of squishy psy bass.

 

Lyserge's new effort was also an impressive bass/psyglitch release, he keeps bringing fresh new ideas.

 

Astral Travel Agency I've only listened to once in the background but a few tracks caught my ear nicely.

I added some new possible search terms to the 2016 Releases Table recently:

• Search "2016" to only show new artists that had their first official release this year.
• Search "Alias" to only show artists that have alternate projects or are members of group projects. Hover your mouse over any blue artist name to show a tooltip with alternate aliases/group members of that artist.
• Combine these ("2016 Alias") to show new projects of artists that have released music prior to this year. There's currently only 6 of these though.
• Search any month name up to this point ("January", "February", or "March") to only show releases from that month.

Also I suppose I should paste the full list of possible search terms for those who haven't seen it yet (also seen posted above the table):

 

            Search Terms

• Latest releases: News
• Genres: Ambient, Psybient, or Bass
• Name your price releases: Free
• Weekly forum poll rankings: 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, or 5th
• New artists: 2016
• Artists with alternate aliases or group members: Alias
• Any country name (USA, UK, Russia, etc.)
• Month: January, February, March
• Release type: Album, EP, Compilation, Remix Album, or Remix EP
• Any combination of these terms, for example Free News would show the latest name your price releases, 1st Bass would show the highest voted Bass releases, 2016 Alias would show new projects of established artists, etc.

The Uni release right? I hesitated adding it as it's more downtempo IDM/techno and I didn't know what genre to call it, so just put it in Ambient but it doesn't fully belong there, but wouldn't in Psybient either. Genres aside, I enjoyed what I heard from it.
