Art Of Fact - groovy, spooky psybass

 

Astromonk - not bad for a debut EP

 

Second Thought - Aeolian Landform - nice surprise, "Erosion Reversed" reminds me of early Carbon Based Lifeforms (when they were Notch)

 

The Elder (aka Mahaon) - some trippy dub

 

(Maia, I deleted Maiia - Primrose as that is a re-release of a 2012 album, my mistake for listing it.)

Sorry Gordon, I should have checked more carefully lol, I realised I hadn't posted the poll last night so was a bit flustered when I did this

I haven't listened to any of them yet.  Though I did buy Electrocado's Scribble Remixes album.  Just haven't found time to listen.

 

And I will by Polish Ambassador's instrumentals album as well, when I get a chance.

 

Music is taking a back seat as I try to back up all my data and program preferences before I do a factory reset on my Windows 7 laptop and then reinstall windows and then upgrade to Windows 10.  Long process!

 

And I have been getting cheesy listening to lots of deep house and cheesy deep house remixes of pop and country songs.  So much fun!  hehe...

Art Of Fact: i follow Timeisart on this one. slow sticky Bass

Electrocado: interesting mix of bass and synths, even strings and piano in the first track!

GMO&Dense: kinda like the soft bass driven tracks!

The Polish Ambasador: well, he makes just happy tunes, how can't you like that

I agree, I'm not feeling this style of Asura either. I only listed it for the artist name, and Altar Records, but it's not psybient.

I think that Visionary Shamanics are coming into their own with this 'forest dub' idea. It seems that the whole label is about these two very contrasting genres, and with these Elder remixes we see them coming together pretty successfully I think...

 

Also those Electrocado remixes are getting my vote because psy-pop ftw :: can't get enough cheesy piano.
