I'm not big into the chillgressive style so I overlooked this album last week but on first listen I agree it deserved more votes.

Mystic Crock & Unusual Cosmic Process will probably be the winners this week, both great psybient.

 

nice to see the return of Argaman, he has a unique orchestral style

 

Emog is some excellent psybass and Data Rebel is great chill IDM.

 

I added a downtempo genre tag to the 2016 releases table for releases like Emancipator's EP this week, and those that aren't really psychedelic enough to call them psybient. Although I don't want to get too deep into listing non-psy downtempo releases as that would get out of hand quickly.

Nick Barber - Kanna - Music For Healing [self Released] {Ambient}

Any Doof fans here? I'm glad to see Nick is still making music, and this ambient style isn't bad or anything, but I'm dying to hear a new Doof album. I thought I heard that he was working on one for Dubmission Records but that seems like ages ago.

I love Doof, both his albums are great, as are plenty of his EP and compilations tracks. I haven't heard from him for ages, I thought he only made those acoustic songs.

This release didn't grab me though.

Argaman made very unique and abstract album as his previous two

but now he added IDM sounds to every track, and as for me, i don't like it

why does almost everybody now use industrial and idm sounds? we are living in huge megapolises where idm sounds are everywhere

This time only one vote and that goes to Unusual Cosmic Process. He has released many albums lately and IMO this is so far his best.

thanks for the heads up, I wasn't following them before now. I had listed that Jean & La Plastique - Tribes release from D-A-R-K Records earlier this year so now I feel compelled to list the rest of these since I missed them. Maybe at the end of the year I'll list a lot of missed releases like these, I've got a few others written down too.
