Kahawai 1 Report post Posted January 21, 2017 Hey friends ! I was wondering how does touring works in the psybient music world. Are all artists paid for playing on festival stages ? In what kind of range of money ? What is the role of agents exactly for artists touring on other continents than theirs ? How are the psybient events in general run in terms of programing ? What does make artists economically OK with touring ? Thank you for any enlightening you'll bring to me on this subject. Hugs
Gagarin Project 400 Report post Posted January 22, 2017 a quick answer. >>>>>> Are all artists paid for playing on festival stages ? In what kind of range of money ? in Europe there is no rule about this. sometimes artists are getting payed + road expenses, sometimes nothing only road. sometimes nothing. big festival usually pay. I heard about fees 50, 100, 200, 400, 800, 1000, 3000 euros for a performance. It all depends on your quality / fame. >>>>> What does make artists economically OK with touring ? good gigs, not many expenses. For example if you tour a lot and don't have a rent to pay is OK. if you have an expensive rent to pay i think is hard to live with touring only. >>>>> What is the role of agents exactly for artists touring on other continents than theirs ? they find you bookings, take care of negotiation and your flights. good luck with this direction if you will take it
