andorra 117 Report post Posted May 15, 2020 I know some here are using it...? Is it a worth a shot compared to Bitwig and Ableton?
Gagarin Project 400 Report post Posted May 15, 2020 never used, but i know people who use it and happy with it i guess for editing / arranging they can be compared 😃 !!! however bitwig and ableton are very oriented sound design / creation of unique fx racks and LIVE play via session mode. it looks like they are the only two that have those features (now we have new Logic also, but i guess is too early for concluding). i am happy with Ableton, and i am considering to try bitwig when i get bored of ABL i prefer session view over arrangement for sketches and happy accident workflow. Nordique 1 Report post Posted August 6, 2021 Reaper is an AMAZING DAW!!! It's different than Ableton. When I get bored of Ableton and the music feels too repetitive, I switch to Reaper. Reaper let's you listen to the music and create by ear as opposed to just clicking and moving stuff around. I guess I can just use my ears in Ableton lol but...it's a different vibe. I'm more creative in Reaper. You have to try it out...it's like a guitar, how does it feel is most important. Great daw and very customizable!
