Wow I can't believe the Ozrics qualify for inclusion in a downtempo poll. What about those heavy, screaming guitars?

Anyway, I made an exception and voted for their album.

I liked the Fourth Dimension and Gateway 721 albums too.

hey guys,

there are a few releases in this week's batch that were released earlier this year and I was late to discover them, but decided to include them anyway, namely:

Arure - Ananta EP

Group Of Light - The Story Behind The Light

Kermode - New World

Murya - Heimaey

Profresher - Ravage

Taboo - Voices Of Peace EP

VA - Dhawa Sunrise

but this week has to be one of the best of the year so far, lots of good releases. my votes are:

Aes Dana & Miktek - Alkaline EP [ultimae Records] : so deep and moody

Another Fine Day - A Good Place To Be Remixed [interchill Records] : the Hibernation remix alone is enough to make this great, and always great to see Ishq

Biolumigen - Tao [shanti Planti] : love the oriental feel of this

Mellow Sonic - Stargaze [self Released] : I love the combination of drum & bass and psychill this guy pulls off with this release.

Sensient - Projekt Grunberg [Merkaba Music, Zenon Records] : a little darker and more chaotic at times than I prefer, but a fascinating piece of complex sound design

haha yiannis, I know the Ozrics don't really belong here, but come on these guys are legends ;)

Gotta agree on that, Yuri. Pretty neat album.

However, it was released on April 30th and not last week :)

we do our best to add release as soon as they appear, but sometimes we miss them. it will be pitty not to add them to the vote of the week. I think in the end of the year or even on the mid of the year , we will make a post that will highlight all "best" releases defined by this forum users.
